Cybersecurity Engineer (Early Team Member)

What You’ll Do:

• Deploy and support cybersecurity solutions across a variety of environments including on-prem, cloud, and hybrid.

• Assist with client onboarding, network security assessments, and vulnerability remediation.

• Support cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) deployments and apply cloud security best practices.

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs from endpoints, firewalls, and cloud platforms.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of internal tools or automation using Python (a plus).

• Participate in building and operating our Security Operations Center (SOC) functions.

• Work directly with founders and senior engineers to build reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for our clients.

 

 

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or infrastructure roles.

• Solid understanding of basic networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S).

• Strong desktop/endpoint knowledge (Windows, macOS, and/or Linux).

• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools (EDR, firewalls, SIEMs, etc.).

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and cloud security best practices.

• Passion for cybersecurity and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Nice to Have (Bonus Points):

• Experience in a SOC or similar security monitoring environment.

• Python scripting or automation skills.

• Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).

• Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks technologies or similar enterprise-grade security solutions.

Founding Member, Full Stack Software Engineer

What You’ll Do:

• Architect and Build: Lead the design and implementation of our core security software platform using a microservice architecture or similar. This involves making key technology decisions and building foundational services from scratch.

• Full Stack Development: Work across the entire stack, from a modern front-end using a framework like Svelte or React to a robust and performant back-end built with Rust (Actix Web) or other modern languages.

• Implement Cloud Security Best Practices: Integrate security principles and cloud security best practices directly into our software design and deployment, ensuring our products are secure by default.

• Solve Complex Problems: Tackle challenging technical problems related to data ingestion, real-time analysis of security telemetry, and building scalable, secure, and reliable APIs.

• Product Development: Work directly with founders and early customers to define product features, refine the user experience, and set the technical roadmap.

• Build the Engineering Culture: Participate in establishing engineering best practices, code review standards, and a collaborative team culture as we grow.

 

 

Requirements:

• Software Engineering Experience: 5+ years of experience in full stack software development, with a strong portfolio of projects.

• Microservice Architecture: Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying scalable microservices.

• Full Stack Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience with both front-end and back-end development.

• Front-end: Familiarity with a modern framework like Svelte, React, or Vue.

• Back-end: Strong command of a back-end language like Rust, Go, Node.js, or Python.

• Cloud-Native: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Cloud Security Expertise: A solid understanding of cloud security best practices and principles (e.g., IAM, network security, data encryption).

• Problem-Solving Skills: A passion for tackling complex technical challenges and a self-starter attitude.

 

 

Nice to Have (Bonus Points):

• Experience with Svelte and the Actix Web framework.

• Experience in the cybersecurity domain or building security-related software.

• Experience with open-source high-performance log processing tools, such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
